They should be left where they are. Who are we to say where they should be allowed to be and not. We are taking over there natural inhabitation

Can the ducks really do more damage than what flood waters erode? They're just being ducks. When and why did this suddenly become an issue.

Ducks and geese are wild life. There are laws against disturbing and harassing wild life. The township should not be able to do so. They are migrating animals and their are also laws against disturbing the migration of birds. On a person opinion level, this is just asinine to think that if you scare them away they will not come back. My thought is if you don’t like them go elsewhere. Do not disturb their natural instincts. Many people enjoy them and just because a hand full of people have complained does not give the township right to remove them without public input. I am shocked and appalled to think that a government agency would agree to this, especially by “scaring them away.”

My kids LOVE to "go feed the ducks"! Multiple generations of local residents have enjoyed the same. I will not criticize township officials involved in this decision as it serves no real benefit. I also (personally) understand that many times elected officials are forced to make unpopular decisions, for reasons that some do not understand. However I surely hope that all other options are being (and will be) explored. If bank erosion is truly the concern...
Have we explored the option of using another material on top of the dirt to prevent this?
Possibly a type of stone that you see being utilized in similar applications in other places.
It is also important for citizens to do their part in taking responsibility for themselves and the foods you use to feed the geese and ducks.

My kids love this park for that reason. To feed the ducks. Leave well enough alone!
