Because Moray Council keep selling of Forres Common Land and assests and do not use the proceeds for Forres. These assests were left for the people of Forres and their descendents not for profit!

Our communities are tired of having our land squandered and sold off for profit and not used for the good of the community

The (mis-)use of Common Good Land has become a political issue. The original intended use was for local communities to be provided with an asset for their use above and beyond party politics and not to be used to provide convenient solutions for uninspired/uninspiring politicians. Let the scottish government put its money where it's mouth is and return control of local assets to local grass root communities.

Because the local bodies are more aware of the situations around them concerning the common good than the councils in their headquarters, controlled by their political bosses . They have no idea of the localities. The few elected representatives from an area are outvoted by other councillors who naturally want the best for their constituencies and bad decisions or complete fudges are made. Give us back our assets!

Because a large company is trying to buy our local common good land in Forres and Moray Council are not listening to us when we say we don't want it to happen

Common Good Land belongs to all of the people in a respective community and should not be altered or disposed off without their being asked for their approval.

Common Assets should be controlled by local people, through local authorities, not by faceless area/county council committies
