Derby City Council: Provide the fair and equal distribution of local neighbourhood funding

This petition had 335 supporters

We, the residents of Derby, believe in fair and equal distribution of local Neighbourhood funding. This enables local residents and ward councillors, via their local Neighbourhood boards, to support community groups and to fund local improvements.

We oppose the decision made by Derby City’s Labour Council to cut local neighbourhood funding in Allestree (90% reduction), Mickleover (85% reduction), Littleover (60% reduction), Oakwood (55% reduction), Chellaston & Shelton Lock (25% reduction), Blagreaves (16% reduction) and Spondon (11% reduction) whilst other wards such as Normanton, Arboretum, Sinfin and Alvaston are being given funding increases of between 42% to 54%.
