PUBLIC VIOLENCE AND THE ECONOMIC FREEDOM FRONT
16 JANUARY 2018
Most law-abiding South Africans believe that racism should not be tolerated in South Africa.
However, when we express our displeasure and intolerance of racism and racist practices, we may do so within the confines of our constitution and the laws of South Africa.
Our country’s constitution says in section 17:
“17 Assembly, demonstration picket and petition
Everyone has the right, peacefully and unarmed, to assemble, to demonstrate, to picket and to present petitions.”
Our intolerance to racism may never be in the form of vandalism and the destruction of public or private property in the name of fighting racism.
The leaders of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, Floyd Shivambu and Mbuyiseni Ndlozi are Members of Parliament and they have taken a public oath to uphold the Constitution of South Africa.
They cannot go about publicly to encourage members of the EFF to vandalize branches of the international clothing stores H&M because of their outrage at an advert by H&M. All South Africans have the constitutional to demonstrate, picket and petition in a peaceful manner, within the confines of the law, but we cannot go overboard, which the EFF has done at the encouragement of their leaders.
The Church of South Africa, all members of the clergy, apostles, prophets, bishops, pastors, evangelists, men and women of God, must speak with one voice on this matter. We cannot allow organised lawlessness encouraged by reckless, political leaders to become the norm in South Africa.
THE EFF MUST BE STOPPED.
THE WORKS OF SATAN MUST BE DESTROYED BY THE CHURCH OF GOD.
We, the Church of God, and the spiritual leaders of this nation, must stop the lawlessness in our nation.
The leaders of the EFF and the EFF as a party must be held accountable for the damage done to the stores of H&M and ‘THEY MUST PAY BACK THE MONEY’!
They must be criminally charged and also held accountable for the damages done to the H&M stores.
