On 3/10/2010, Dennis Howard Newson was arrested for Communicating Threats to Sheriff Hubert Peterkin of Hoke County N.C. Newson had a law suit against Peterkin for misconduct since 2008. Newson was released on bond and 2 weeks later rearrested for Attempted Assault on the sheriff which this particular crime is not chargeable in N.C. because no assault took place. Newson was then placed on a 3 million dollar bond by Judge E. Lynn Johnson who was a conflict of interest in the case because of prior involve in the lawsuit.
Newson was sent straight to prison without a trial and now over 2 years later, a healthy 46 year old man walked into custody over 2 years ago a healthy has since then been badly beaten several times by the officers, eye almost knocked out, ribs bruised, jaw smashed and tooth knocked out and confined to a wheel chair. He cannot see with holding something up against his dark shades he wears to keep the light out, he has and is still denied medication, he was washed up in a mop bucket and starved for days at the time.
Dennis Newson has been denied a trial because he has in his posession videos, photos, statement and other important documents that proves not only his innocence, but that these state officials fabricated the entire case. This is to include them selling his car which is supposed to be in evidence

The court in Cumberland County finally took Dennis Newson to trial which was one of biggest miscarriages of justice in human history. They trialed a blind man with counsel and the judge sustained every time he would try to defend his case. The DA and the judge directed the jury to ignore the truth and everything this man tried to say or do to defend himself. This was not a trial because the jury was bought and paid for from beginning to end. They laughed at him and they even stood up at times when he would speak. This was an absolute set-up by corrupt so-called officers of the court. The jury saw the video evidence and knew the sheriff lied and that did not make any difference to them because they were owned by the DA.

After being found guilty, Dennis Newson given 798 days credit for time served by the judge, but was sentenced to 793 days. The court still would not release this man, but instead sent him to Neuse Correctional Institution. Dennis Newson has already served in prison more time than he was sentenced so they have no reason to hold him.
