As of recent our high school (deptford highschool) decided to outright ban personal devices from being used in the school including phones,laptos, and other personal devices in favor of us all using school assigned chromebooks. I would like to over turn this decision in favor of the students. The last year has been absolutely insane with the pandemic and not being able to talk to the people we care about. This has made us turn to our devices to learn and connect. The school tells us this has helped everyone in the school socialize yet it separates us from knowledge and people we don’t have classes with.
