Our country was built on the backs of immigrants who came to this country within the immigration policies at that time.  The overwhelming majority of whom were poor and had virtually nothing to their names.  Our government is now proposing to reward illegal immigrants with a windfall payment of $450,000 per person because they CHOSE to violate our laws and immigration policies by trying to come to this country on an illegal basis. While I applaud these individuals for trying to change their lives for the better, they knew the risks they were taking by trying to enter this country illegally.  While it is abhorrent that families were separated while being detained, that is a risk these individuals took when they CHOSE to enter this country illegally. While it is right for this country to fight for human rights around the world, it is NOT our RESPONSIBILITY to correct all of the ills in this world. No matter how hard we try we will NEVER stop all of the ills and injustices throughout the world. There will always be someone or some government who will take advantage and oppress people. It is unfortunately human nature.

We need to tell our government ENOUGH!!! STOP SPENDING OUR TAX DOLLARS ON FRIVOLOUS PURSUITS that only help a handfull of people.  Use our tax dollars wisely to pay down our debt or fix systemic problems, or even to ENFORCE THE LAWS WE ALREADY HAVE ON OUR BOOKS!
