Introduction

Mission

Our mission is to enrich senior high students, age 15 to 19, about the circumstances of being a parent. We will teach them on how to make wise decision before doing what they naturally desire. We will make Parents who have no job be the one teaching teens on how to be a proper parent for their future child, this in turn would lessen their future children having some problems with their parents for example domestic abuse. We will also make teenagers have more empathy to other people. We will also prevent teenage parents to drop out of their school due to pregnancy.

Vision

To enhance the welfare of everybody around us. We want to influence each of us to have a better world for everyone because we know that well-built families start at home and through that, we could have better communities we want to have communities which children enjoy their rights to be cared.

 

Purpose

            The purpose of this campaign is to create change like any other typical campaigns. Parenting class is not only for individuals who aspire to be parent one day. But, learning how to be parent teaches many life skills that one needs to succeed in life. Such as, how to be selfless giver and not taker, how to listen and be patient, how to appear confident even though you don't know what you are doing, how to be creative, how to be leader who can engage, how to organize and care. Giving the students insights in adult responsibilities, preparing them on when they decide to start a family. Our society attempts to educate its children, so they are able to function effectively within it. All of us will agree that some of what we studied in school has been of little or no use to us. However, approximately 85% of students will become parents. If we could magically create a competent parental segment of our society, all of the problems we face, (poverty, violence, racism, breakdown of families, jobs...) would be directly and positively influenced.

Description

Parenting is probably the most important public health issue facing our society. It is the single largest variable implicated in childhood illness and accidents; teenage pregnancy and substance issue; truaney, school disruption and underachievement: child abuse; incompatibility; juvenile crime; and mental illness these are serious in themselves but are even more important as precursors of problems in adulthood and the next generation. Earlier this month, we launched our new Public education campaign: Parenting the campaign will focus on how we can enrich student age 11 to 16 about the circumstances of being a parent(teens pregnancy) and Avoiding Child Abuse study done in the 1990s by Kaiser Permanente and the CDC which involved over 17,000 adults, ACEs(Adverse childhood experience) are traumatic events that children experience such as abuse, neglect, and exposure to domestic violence, and they are "the most important determinant of the health and well-being of our nation. As service providers and healthcare providers, we can make a big difference by sharing this message with parents.

This aims to see how much is the budget needed to fulfill the campaign, calculating the salaries and the number of Senior High Schools as well as the teachers or instructors involved.

Statistics:

Based on the Department of Education website, there are 5,965 public schools that are offering both grades 11 and 12, and there are 4,830 private schools that are also offering grades 11 and 12.

Establishing the Salary: 

Since most Senior High Schools only have 4 sections per grade, we will base on the 4 sections. Predicting that the trainers or teachers will obtain 2,000 the first week, we will multiply 2,000(The salary of the teacher) to the 8 sections including the grade 11 and 12, which will result to 16,000(per school). We will now add both the public senior high schools and private senior high schools. 5,965(public) +4830(private) = 10,795(senior high schools in the Philippines), and multiply the number of senior high schools to the salary per school which will be: 10,795 x 16,000 = 172,720,000.

Php. 172,720,000 is the needed budget for this petition for it is computed for the first salary of the teachers that would teach about the said topic. And after the first week salary, the normal school salary is expected to be back, just so there is an adjustment period for the school and the new teachers that will be teaching.

Planning:

            School is a place for kids to learn skills they may need in the outside world and in the future. However, surprisingly, one of the most difficult skill they may need isn't taught to them, and it's one they have to learn on their own. That skill is raising children. Many become parents with little to no knowledge, simply because the school doesn't offer preparation for it. This is why we are petitioning for Parenting classes to be mandatory during a student's Senior High School years

            People always ask why parenting is important? The only answer to this is to help the young people to grow with the love of their parents. Parents always wants the best for their child but how can they do that if they do not know the correct process of parenting. This is probably the most difficult job plus it doesn't have salaries. The price that can you get is that you will see your child growing with a good heart and you can see your child growing with the teachings and values you gave. A good relationship with your child has a lot of benefits;

Some of the benefits include:

·         Healthy attachment to their parents are developing happy and content relationships with others.

·         A child who has a secure relationship with parent learns to regulate their emotions, can prevent stress and in difficult situations they always talk with their parents first.

·         It promotes the child’s mental, linguistic and emotional development.

·         Helps the child exhibit optimistic and helps them to build self-esteem and they can conquer their fears.

·         Healthy parent involvement and intervention in the child’s day-to-day life gives a strong foundation in their relationship.

·         Children can also gain strong problem-solving skills when they have a positive relationship with their parents. This will help the children in achieving academic excellence.

Other effects of this are, the children are not able to communicate well to others, those who are always being abused are more likely to go on depression it can also lead to poor performance in school and being stressed. Others are scared, they are losing their self-esteem that negatively affects their performance. Special when that child goes through sexual abuse where children are being more scared, having traumas, they are also likely to become violent and make violent decisions. It can also cause psychological disorders because they are on a situation where they are being abused physically and mentally.
