On March 13, 2020 the Class of 2021 had only thought a portion of their junior year was about to be taken away. Little did we know that our whole senior year would not be the year we dreamed about for years.

Depaul Catholic had promised to make the Class of 2021’s year as normal as possible. We had high hopes for them just to be ripped apart. We have lost pretty much all of our senior year school events due to the coronavirus. The faculty has made this even more difficult to deal with because of the out of nowhere intense work and bad attitudes towards us. I believe 98% of the senior class is dealing with some degree of depression and anxiety and it is only made worse when we enter the building. The staff does nothing to help us but instead to push us to the point where we give up completely.

Depaul Catholic sent the seniors a letter stating that graduation was indoors and limited to 2 guests per graduate. This eliminates many family member who are now heartbroken as they can not attend. All we are asking for is an outside graduation with AT LEAST 4 guests per graduate. We have had the worst senior year in history and we are just asking for an outside graduation that we can spend with our families who have been waiting years for this milestone.

The Class of 2021 is begging for this change! We will do anything to have this opportunity and we will be forever grateful. We write this with all due respect and we just want something normal. We mean no harm so if you can sign this, please do. Depaul Catholic, please allow us to have this.

Love, the Class of 2021 <3
