Everyday of my life I get forced to go into a bathroom that doesn't fit my gender. I either have to hold in or force myself not to eat or drink so that I don't have to go to the bathroom. Queer kids are being bullied daily and are to scared to go into a bathroom of a specific gender. Giving us queer kids atleast 1 Gender free bathroom will prevent kids from hating themselves, committing suicide, going threw depression....,because they will see that they are not alone and that there gender is being respected. It's not something that was recently made up, you are hiding the fact that there are more genders and these bathrooms are the reason queer kids hate themselves because they are not seeing any love just HATE AND HOMOPBOBIA.The department of education can show the LGBTQIA+ community that they are an ALLY by allowing south african schools to get Gender free bathrooms for QUEER kids. I am a 17 year old teenager currently in high school and I have been facing this problem how many years, and enough is enough, I won't sit here allowing more queer kids to kill themselves and hate themselves just because of a school system that can be changed. It's my basic human right in south africa to be treated equally, and this south african school system isn't treating any queer kids equally, they are giving "straight" kids more prevalege by only giving them a bathroom that fits there gender,I say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH it's time we fight for change and get the respect we need and deserve.
