Raise the minimum driving age in California to 18

At the age of 15 1/2, a minor is legally allowed to get a learners permit to drive a car. When that minor turns 16, they are then legally allowed to take their driver's test to receive a license, and can now drive on their own. If the age to be considered an adult is 18 years old, then the age to drive should be permitted at 18 as well. To give a minor the power to drive on their own is a risk to the people around them. About 20 teenagers in America die every day due to motor vehicle accidents. Danger is more likely to strike if there is a teenager on the road, because they are more likely to steer to anger, are unpredictable, and are less likely to react to the traffic around them the same as a developed adult. Driving is a responsibility that should be earned when you become an adult, just like how voting is seen as something very serious to society. I believe that raising the minimum age of driving will lower the rates of car accidents per day and will raise the amount of safety for everyone on the road.
