Edward Jacobs Jr started this petition to Department of Veterans Affairs and

Please reopen the national Cemetery’s like Fort Logan in Colorado and others so we can hold proper services for those that have passed away since the closure due to COVID
it does not to make sense to me that many other businesses are now open up to 50 people socially distancing, but we cannot hold any “committal” ceremonies at our national veteran's cemeteries.

My mom passed away early April 2020 and we are told we can have her buried at fort Logan, but not even be there (however their website says different   https://www.cem.va.gov/CEM/index.asp ) or have the proper committal ceremony, even with only 10 people properly socially distancing.

On behalf of my mom and all the veterans and veterans spouses awaiting their proper veteran's service, I urge support for this petition for reopening the VA cemeteries, especially in states that are opening many other businesses and in Colorado there allowing groups of 50 to be together and 4-10 people allowed in gyms, rafting trips, some summer camps, just MAkES NO SENSE!!!

Thank you for your consideration and support and hopefully, we can convince the VA to reopen as we have been told it's a federal jurisdiction issue not based I. Colorado rules.

How much longer will family have to wait????
