This new law will negatively impact several trucking companies; majority being smaller carriers and independent contractors. It is also a motion to Federally reduce the speed limit in all states to 65 MPH for all vehicles which in turn will slow everyone down. More time it takes to deliver goods the more trucks and trailers we will need out here on these highways in turn increasing the cost to move the freight from point A to point B. That increase will also negatively affect the economy by making the entire cost of living to increase. Say no to mandatory 65 mph speed limiters. This is not about safety. Many of the carriers who proposed this rule have a terrible safety score. This is about the mega trucking companies getting greedy and wanting to cash in on the hardships by making it difficult for their competition; i.e. small mom and pop companies as well as independent contractors to stay in business.  This is a terrible idea and should be stopped dead in its tracks.
