Karen Morris started this petition to Department of Transport

My son was thrown off an Avanti West Coast Train from Manchester Piccadilly to Euston at Stoke after an audition at Manchester Met University... with a valid ticket but for a later train. He left Manchester at 4.30 and at 11pm he was still not home. Distressed, on a train that took him to Crewe and then back to London stopping at every station it’s taken him more than 6hours. This is a disgrace - young people who are using the train network and have paid for a fare should not be asked to get off in any circumstances. We need a charter that train companies look after young people on there network. Some officious guard with no compassion should not have the remit to remove people from trains particularly vulnerable people.
