Child Abuse, 80 % of children that die from abuse are under of the age of 4. As many 80% of young adults who had been abused met the diagnostic criteria for at least psychiatric disorder at age of 21.  Children in the Philippines are engaged in the worst forms of child labor, particularly in agriculture, domestic work, home based industries, prostitution, trafficking and pornography.  Between 1999 and 2008 12% of Filipino children took part in child labor. Throughout urban settings in the Philippines children live and work on the streets, scavenging, begging and engaging in other income generating activities. Nearly 70% of Rape victims are under age of 17.

Many children have been abused by their parents, step mother/father, sibling or even strangers. Some died of physical and emotional problems, depressed because of so much pain and hurt. Suiciding because they don’t want to live anymore. They are being abuse because of financial problems, using of drugs, and depression. The children have been raped, killed or battered by their own relatives.  In the Philippines, Liezyl Margallo aka Shanon Carpio known as “Savage girl”, a 23 year old Filipina girl, the alleged live-in partner and cohort of Peter Scully, was nabbed in Malapascua, Daanbantayan in Cebu last Wednesday. Margallo is an alleged notorious child trafficker who helped run a gruesome international cyber pornography trade.  She has 16 pending arrest warrants in Cagayan de Oro City for purportedly luring female street children and young scavengers into her fold, forcing them to perform appaling sexual acts, torturing them and even killing one of the kids, while videotaping these children. Operatives of the National Bureu of Investigation (NBI) has arrested her who is alleged accomplice of an Australian pedophile accused of human trafficking, child abuse and child pornography. Behind that seemingly innocent look, however, lurks very disturbed and monstrous past that kept her on the run for nearly two years. They said that ‘’LiezylMargallo’’ of Daisy’s Destruction will soon face death penalty! Also in Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City, Cebu in the Philippines, Police arrested a suspected junkie for sexually abusing a four-month-old baby girl. The baby was found boodied and naked 30 meters from her home by a 60-year-old woman who went outside to pee at 1 a.m Thursday, February 9. 2016.  Chief Inspector Jose Liddaw, the city police chief, identified the suspect as ‘’Jonathan Marfe’’, a 40-year-old native of Bohol who was also involve in a rape case in the past. Before the incident happened on Thursday, Marfe joined his three friends in a drinking binge. One of Marfe’s friends said the suspect entered the house of the victim. Liddawa said their evidence is circumstantial in nature, but the testimony of Marfe’s friend is enough proof that the suspect was the one who took the infant, raped her and abandoned her in a coconut farm. Girlie Veloso, barangay councilor of Perrelos, Carcar, said the baby underwent a minor surgery to treat a minor laceration on her genitals at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. The baby is now in a stable condition she added. This are some of the sexual abuse to children.
