Megan Joseph started this petition to Department of Social and Health Services

We all have older ones whom we care for very much. Whether they be our grandparents or just family friends. So, as our loved ones get older it gets harder for them to be able to take care of themselves. Thus, some decide to live in a Nursing Home which is also called a Long-Term Care facility. Trees and plants have a positive effect on human’s overall wellbeing and can even reduce stress. So, it is concerning that nursing homes in Washington State that care for a high-risk population are not required to have a natural space (garden greenery, trees, etc.). The Department of Social and Health Services is in charge of regulating Nursing Homes in Washington State. Sign this petition so the Department can notice this problem and get nature centers required in Long Term Care Facilities!
