POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, and OVERPOPULATION are persistently recurring societal and economical problems that the Republic of the Philippines continues to fall victim to, and also something that we never seem to solve amidst different previous administrations. According to official statistics from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), 23.7% of Filipinos are living in poverty, which is roughly 26 million out of the 110 million people in the Philippine Islands. 

As we continue living under unfavorable conditions, and with the pandemic seeing millions lose their jobs, it is safe to assume that this problem demands an urgent response and a viable solution. 

This petition is not just to help starving and homeless families get their lives back on their feet, but it is also a necessary wake-up call that can help more and more people realize that while they are living under sunshine, there are people struggling to swim in flood. 

The poverty that cut-off people's wings, the unemployment that held them back from flying, and the overpopulation that meant that there are not enough worms for everyone, can be solved. You can not love your country without loving your contrymen!  

We need more permanent jobs. 

We need to give them the chance to put food on their plates.

We need to give them the chance to buy a roof over their heads.

We need to uplift our fellow Filipinos.
