Adnan Syed was an 18 years old Muslim American  when he was first accused of allegedly murdering his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee and convicted for first degree murder in February 2000 and was sentenced to life in prison with an  additional 30 year sentence for Rape and kidnapping. However prosecutors were unable to provide physical evidence that connected Adnan Syed to these crimes, the only evidence used in deciding that Adnan committed these crimes was a testimony from Jay wilds and another witness Jennifer Pusateri, who claimed that Wilds had told her Syed confessed to murdering Hae Min Lee and had shown him the body. Syed maintained his innocence. Since Syed's conviction, Wilds has changed his story multiple times, and recent analysis of Wilds' police interviews suggest he had been heavily coached by the Baltimore police. It is injustice that Adnan is still in prison for a crime he potentially did not commit especially when there are a lot of evidence which shows that Jay fits the profile of someone who committed this murder.

Even though, there are numerous evidence which proves that at the time of the murder Adnan was in fact at the library but yet he is being denied a retrial.

what happened to fair trials for everyone? Adnan Syed did not have a fair trial and evidence which could actually exonerate him is being denied.

So please help sign this petition to  get a retrial for Adnan Syed because this could be your son, your brother, your father or even you.
