We, Asian American Democratic Club, a nationwide alliance of Asian Americans dedicated to social justice and cultural tolerance, hereby urge the United States Department of Justice and related Minnesota state government entities to conduct a fair, transparent, prompt and thorough investigation of the recent George Floyd case. The way George Floyd was killed under the watch of at least four policemen was totally unacceptable for a country proud of its rule of law and due process. While we have grave concern for the ensuing violenct riots in Minneapolis and other U.S. cities, we believe that timely action by the justice system to address the atrocity we see in the George Floyd case is the key to heal the wound this nation is suffering from.  

Asian Americans will not forget the friendly help from the African American community when we faced racial injustice such as the 1982 Vincent Chin case. Now it is time for us to support the African American community to stop the abuse of the police authority. We are calling on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders across the country to join our petition.
