Traveling, by air, in the United States of America can be a daunting, frightening, and stressful experience. Traveling, by air, with small children can add stress and anxiety to the trip. One of the most stressful parts of any trip is getting through the dreaded security checkpoint managed by the TSA. Most parents don't travel with children as often childless flyers do, so when they do, the "muscle memory" of what's accepted and what's not accepted is not as strong. Additionally, managing diaper and kid's travel bags, strollers, car seats, snacks, and other on-board necessities can be quite burdensome, especially for the travelers standing behind them in the security line.
This petition proposes that the Department of Homeland Security, with the support and approval from the United States Congress, designate a special security line for parents traveling, by air, with small children. This special line would allow for parents to have the extra time and space to arrange themselves to go through security, without the burden or embarrassment of delaying adult, childless, passengers. Agents would be able to assist with parents and the extra baggage, strollers, and other items that come along with travel.
Ultimately, this special "Family-Check" line will make the regular line run smoother, and create a less stressful travel experience for both families and childless travelers.
