Human trafficking is a growing threat that has caused much suffering, among families and even communities. The idea that our own country is as prone to human trafficking as third world countries is frightening. Therefore, a specialized task force needs to be created for the obliteration of human trafficking in rural areas.

I am starting this petition, because one reason the United States is so vulnerable to human trafficking is because we don’t believe that human trafficking can take place in our rural areas. That is where we are proven wrong, and changes must be made in order to prevent any criminal trafficking rings from taking place in America. Many Americans believe that Human Trafficking is some thing that will never affect them, which in return, enough awareness is not being spread throughout rural communities about human trafficking.
