Smoking is one of the most dangerous widespread phenomena that threaten lives of the majority of people worldwide. Deaths caused by smoking have reached epidemic proportions. Over 7 million people die annually according to the World Health Organizations (WHO). Smoking usually starts with the youths. People who start smoking in their teens are more likely to become life-long smokers than those who have their first cigarette as adults. Each day more than two thousand youths try cigarettes for the first time.
Smoking gives a large impact on the health of people that cause different dreadful diseases such as; Lung Cancer, Heart disease, Early Stroke, Tuberculosis etc. Most of the people don't take these diseases seriously even though they know the specific health risks of it. We need to stop smoking for it kills humanity not just for the smokers but it also affects the non-smokers.
Prior to this, the Anti-smoking campaign aims to spread and promote awareness regarding the risks of smoking among smokers and non – smokers. This campaign will give credible information about the impact of smoking in the health and lives of the people especially to the one who is starting to try smoking. Also, to educate and give prevention tips for the smokers to quit the smoking successfully.
