WE WANT MASSAGE THERAPY ALLOWED TO OPERATE DURING LOCKDOWNS

The goal is 1000 signatures (that is only a small percentage of people who receive massage… so please share with your friends and family :-) 

Massage therapy is one of the most loved and used modalities for body and mind health and well-being. It keeps us going! It allows us to feel better! Reduces stress! Restores mobility! 

During lockdowns Remedial Massage and Myotherapy is restricted and not allowed. This has a devastating consequence to people who rely on and need massage. 

During the first lockdown in 2020 Massage therapists and associations worked tirelessly to update standards and procedures to be able to provide this valued service during these challenging times. In May 2020 the hard work paid off and during the one of most toughest lockdowns, Remedial Massage and Myotherapists were allowed to operate and people rejoiced! 

Now in 2021, Stage 4 lockdowns prevent massage therapy and myotherapy from operating, forcing thousands of people to suffer. 

We are calling everyone who loves Massage, needs it and wants it made available to sign this petition!

We want remedial massage and myotherapists to be able to operate during lockdowns.

At this point allied health practitioners like physiotherapists and chiropractors can operate… Qualified Practitioners likes Remedial Massage and Myotherapists need to recognised by the Government, Health Department and associations as a valued service to the community during lockdowns.
