E-cigarette or electronic cigarette is a device that heats up liquids containing nicotine and other chemicals. This device should be banned here in the Philippines because it has a bad effect to the health of the people and it is highly addictive especially to the young ones.

E-cigarettes has a worse effect to the health rather than the regular cigarette or the so called "tobacco". According to a study from the Institute of Environmental Medicine in New York University in America, vaping can increase the possibility of having cancer. Using this device can lead into chromosomal changes or DNA mutations because of the carcinogen content of it. Also, the Food and Drug Administration found out that e-cigarettes contain 7,000 dangerous chemicals that are also found in tobacco. Recently, the first case of e-cigarette or vape-associated lung injury in the Philippines is a 16 year old girl lived in Visayas.

E-cigarette is highly addictive especially to the young ones because of the nicotine content that has different flavors and tastes. The Youth Tobacco Survey said that majority of the people using e-cigarette are students ages 13-21. This means that people using cigarettes or smokers are getting younger and younger.

All in all, we should be aware in using e-cigarette especially to the youngsters. We should take care of our health and prevent ourselves from the hazardous effects of e-cigarettes.
