My partner is a qualified registered nurse in the Philippines and has been working for the NHS for more than two years as an assistance nurse. However, she has been trying to register as a nurse in the UK but the government is demanding that in order for her to practice in the UK she must obtain OSCE test. These test requirements discriminate against third world trained nurses in favour of those trained in EU. Right now the whole country is facing the Corona Virus Pandemic and both the third world and EU trained nurses are working side by side and dying together but when it comes pay there are being discriminated. We ask the government to  relax these requirements for those who are already working within the NHS and let them register as nurses and get equal pay.
