The services everywhere are overstretched and under funded, leading to a massive shortfall in patient care. I have attended the MIU and Outpatients for my son in recent years only to find that they were unable to provide the right services at Newark and I had to take him to a different hospital.

Newark Hospital is currently under-used and under-resourced even though 100,000 people live closer to the hospital than any other hospital. By releasing the hospital from its Private Finance Initiative (PFI) debt an expansion of services can take place under new accountable management that will benefit local patients and the finances of the NHS.
