In 2015 Women were earning 23% less than men and that number has only increased, now in 2017 women are earning 30.9% less than men. And the wage gap isn’t for older people it also applies to new graduates. The 2015 report showed that men entering the workforce out of graduate programs were earning 3% more in a base salary than their female counterparts and the gap increased for higher earning graduates. Jobs affected by the wage gap include personal financial advisers, surgeons and real estate agents. Australian gender equality is in the same place as it was 30 years ago, let’s make a change.
