Do you realize that bottle redemption is considered an essential service during this pandemic but that the Department of Environmental Conservation decided that they're not going to enforce the law right now. I would like to have everyone sign the petition today to have the Department of Environmental Conservation do their jobs and enforce this law so that grocery stores and redemption centers open immediately for bottle redemption even if it's only part-time.

How is it fair that you cannot return bottles and the grocery stores are not being penalized for shutting the redemption centers down? However, the State of New York is still receiving taxes on every single bottle while the poor and the unemployed are paying extra money to buy a beverage.
