All residents of Hartbeespoort we call on you to join us in making a stand to protect our beautiful town and the health of our children in schools and suburbs affected by the burning of harmful waste only meters away from their place of education and residence.

Our objective is to ban the incineration of plastic and other harmful waste products that have a negative effect on the health, environment and maintaining of our tourist status in the reserve Hartbeespoort dam.

There is a growing concern about the potential atmospheric release of hazardous chemicals during this process. The fumes of the plastic waste release halogenated additives and polyvinyl chloride, while furans, dioxins, and polychlorinated biphenyls are released into the environment, the incineration of plastics and the production of this plastic combustion are detrimental to both humans and the environment.

Our town, our children, our environment deserve and need our community to stand together in this protest.
