Carroll Electric is charging customers exorbitantly high prices for a moderate winter that has often has temperatures in the 60s and 70s (degrees), only providing the response "It's cold out" to disgruntled customers. These high rates are even affecting customers that receive most of their heart from other sources, such as wood burning stoves, which disproves their "It's cold out" excuse.
The company needs to check what is going on, and provide accurate in-person meter readings AND meter accuracy testing when this many customers are sure their bill should not be even half of what it is. In cases where the are customer complaints of inaccuracy, every measure should be taken to enforce accurate billing, and bills should NOT be estimated in instances such as these.
