This year's year 11 students and ALevel students have faced more in this pandemic than the 2 previous years,and yet the government thinks it is totally acceptable to put our child under even more pressure and stress by exams. Now imagine going in to an exam that you have been preparing for for 2 and a half years but the exam is based on a topic you have never covered and for most of the 2 and half years you have either been off isolating or had a number of suply teachers who don't know the class and don't even know where each student is up to. Not to mention how many staff are off school ill. My daughter has just done this in her mock exams. With 1000s of others. She has been revising for her exams to sit and face a paper where even the teachers have pre warned them that alot of the things in the test you won't know. Being given prediced grades of 7s and 8s to then come out of the exam in tears. Then after being told based on a paper that even the teachers said contained alot the school have not taught yet due to a global disease that you all might fail. Well done department for education. Help me to get this year's students fair teacher assessment grades and give them a chance to feel good about their education experience. This is the next generation so let's help them.
