Ban OLNA maths in WA

West Australia is the only state in Australia that is required to do maths as part of OLNA. This was implemented by Collin Barnett. Since Students have faced more struggles to graduate and graduation rates have gone down.
Nearly 4 in 10 students are leaving the public school system without WACE certification of graduation.
Education Department data shows 3480 pupils in Year 12 failed the maths section of the latest Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment.
The OLNA is mostly to blame for a big drop in WACE achievement rates among students who entered Year 12 in 2016, with more than one in 10 (10.6 per cent) failing to graduate with a WACE — well down on the past five-year average of about 3.1 per cent.
Why are West Australian students being held back?
