There is one in five students that have some degree of dyslexia. But we do not screen for it within our schools you can pick up and dyslexia from as early as 4 years old. I'm dyslexic and I have a 50% chance to pass in on to my child. My oldest age 12 is also dyslexic their is then a 75% chance his siblings have dyslexia. His brother is also dyslexic we also believe my youngest son is also dyslexic (undiagnosed). We paid privately for their assessments. There is many parents that are not in the position to do so.( To be honest we couldn't). Many many children are being let down.
