Say No To Schoolworks On Weekends

There are times that we want to give up because of too much school works especially during weekends. Instead of resting our bodies and minds, we suffer from doing homeworks that cause exhaustion and fatigue to the students. So when Monday comes, students don't have enough strength and rest for another school works to do for that week. There are teachers who gives too much school works for students even during weekend.
According to DepEd Memorandum No. 392, mandates all teachers to minimize the giving of homeworks or assignments (at least) "to a reasonable quantity to give their pupils ample time to rest and relax at home for the rest of the day."
Some says it is difficult to implement because sometimes the subject have an irregular schedule and that gives the teacher a loophole to give assignments. And weekends are the only days to give way for the extra activities like for family and friends to spend time with. But then, actualization may take a quiet hard time due to the practice that the people used to.
How about those students have regular class during weekdays? Students should give time of leisure every Saturday and Sunday. Instead of doing assignments, they bond with their family as well as giving time their brains to refresh and relax for them to focus and concentrate with their discussions during schooldays or weekdays.
This ordinance is already implemented and even though many follows, there are some who don't. We hope for a resolution in this issue so that it won't happen again in the next succeeding school years.
