Victorian parents are struggling to afford to send their children to school.
Every year it is costing Victorian parents thousands of dollars to send their children off to highschool. The cost of generic uniforms and books are for most parents unaffordable. Schools are not allowing students to wear cheaper versions of their uniforms as they must have the school logo on them. So for example a polo shirt that can be purchased at Kmart or Target for $8 costs around $30 or $40 because it has the school logo on it. Imagine a family with one income that has 2 children needing these shirts. A blazer costs $180 the list goes on. Books change every year and can't be handed down for the next child to use. These books are not cheap. We are asking for this matter to be addressed. Don't let our children be threatened with detention because we can't afford the correct school uniforms. Please make education more affordable.
