Why this petition matters

Started by Kelcy Tabernero

This petition aims to achieve a positive response to the Department of Education for the approval of limited face-to-face classes for the next school year after nearly having two school years of online or long-distance learning since the pandemic started. We can’t deny that the government of education is doing their best to make long-distance learning work, which they did for the last school year 2020-2021. But base on research, 89% of families say that blended learning is harder than face-to-face classes. That 89% may have encountered difficulties while learning without face-to-face interaction. Here are the possible instances; internet connection, house chores responsibilities, loss of motivation in studying, lack of interest in studying and there is not enough resources or gadgets and the likes. Furthermore, it would be much better to have face-to-face classes so that the students will be able to understand their lessons better. The pedagogy in today's is not that clear and the students might not be able to catch them. The effectiveness of distance learning is far more less than face to face learning so this petition serves as a foundation to give way to better education amidst our challenges.
