50,000 casual teachers will receive no support from the government during the COVID-19 crisis. Casual teachers are not eligible because their employer is the Department of Education and will not lose 30% of their revenue. Furthermore, casual teachers are simply not getting jobs because 90% of students are at home. What an oversight on the part of the government. All other casual workers in all other industries will receive this much-needed support but those who are deemed "essential" services will not.
