Nowadays, the health curriculum is mainly focused on male & female interactions in sex education. We are asking to make the sex education unit less heterosexual run and more inclusive. We want to help the health unit in NSD use less sexist terms and be more inclusive. Instead, teachers should use more gender neutral terms when teaching the sex Ed unit. Something that we can do to help is to teach kids at an early age more about gender identity, gender neutral terms, and pronouns. Figuring out who kids are is a continuous process and one that is always evolving. We need to educate kids on a wide variety of sexual health topics in order for kids to find out who they are as well as accept others for who they are.
