Many people are talking a like to it whether it is a child, teens, and even adult. What is emerging right now is what we call as Esports this was considered a sport but it is being played by the use of computers, cellphones, and consoles. Esports is also described as the world of competitive, organized video gaming.

            One of the benefits of gaming and Esports is that it can help to lower stress. Gaming is a great source to deal with stress. According to 2010 study at Texas A&M conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Ferguson that “playing online games in long term seem to be able to adopt mental skills to handle stress”. Esports could potentially be used as a form of therapy to help a person find a way to work on their frustrations in their life. Gaming can also improve the critical thinking of a person. Players are required to take a lot of information, to analyze and process it and make a decision in just a second. It helps a person to enhance their critical thinking and how they make a decision in just a split of seconds.

            Esports can also be a pathway to industry jobs, being passionate about Esports and competitive play doesn't imply that you have to work to become a professional player. Esports is an industry, and many hands behind the scenes are needed in industry. The following is a list of prospective jobs in Esports: Social Media Manager, Streamer, Coach, Journalist, Sales and marketing specialist, Organization owner etc. Having the experience of competitive gaming can give us the upper hand in many opportunities given by Esports. This will give us the chance to work with many people in the industry and we can also gain a deep understanding of what it is like in the world of Esports.

            Lastly, Esports or competitive gaming can also develop skills for real life jobs. Because of gaming a person could develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills and this are required in all type of jobs. Gaming could be a great practice for this because once a person is better and faster in this type of skill, he/she can stand out as a skilled employee.             Esports should be considered as a real sport in the society especially in school institutions. We urge the Department of Education to implement Esports gaming to High schools, Colleges, and Universities.
