Demand Compensation for CSU East Bay Fund Disbursement Delays

California State University, East Bay set a disbursement date of March 23, 2018 for students to receive their financial aid and loans. It is now going on almost a week (March 29, 2018) and there have been absolutely no funds released to students. Students are now a week behind in classes due to inability to purchase books. In addition, students are missing bill payments, getting overdraft fees, and are unable to pay for daily living expenses such as food, gas, and much more, due to this unexplained error by CSUEB. Other Cal State colleges disburse funds weeks before the quarter begins, allowing themselves time to fix any unforeseen errors. CSUEB has already taken their portion of students’ funds to pay for school fees; however is not releasing the remainder of that money to students, and is still unable to even provide a solid disbursement date. This is unacceptable and students are demanding compensation for the detrimental inconveniences this has caused them.
