Create more special school places in Hampshire

In Hampshire there is a real crisis in placements for children with additional needs or special educational needs. The Special school provision is massively lacking and as a result children are falling through the gaps in mainstream schools. For example my son was unable to cope at his main stream primary school and we looked into specialist provision but we were told in no uncertain terms that the waiting list was easily over two years.
Children with SEN or additional needs are being failed and being left in unsuitable school placements for years.
I hope that with this petition we can demonstrate a desperate need for these places in order to urge the Department of Education to create these places or potentially to open one or more free schools to help reduce the deficit of places.
