College assignments should be cancelled as like A level and GCSE examinations have been
Despite the cancellation of A-level and GCSE exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the education of access to Higher Education students in colleges has been neglected. College students may not have to take examinations, but we too need quality face-to-face teaching in order to achieve our assignment grades. Despite this lack of guidance we are still being assessed at the same level and are still expected to complete assignments as normal. For students waiting for offers from Universities, this is wholly unfair and their places are compromised as a result. It is impossible to maintain the same standard of work as a direct result of lack of guidance, teaching and essential resources. Regardless of whether grades are coursework or exam based, all students deserve the same measures to be put in place to ensure fairness and for any results received to be reflective of their work up until the disruption.
