Let's ban clothes restrictions. Give Minnesota clothes optional rights and freedom.

I am getting fed up with the dress code dictating students "you can't wear this" and "no, you can't wear that" and treating us females like we are all sex objects!!! it pisses me off!

I’m signing because I’m a major feminist and I believe that women and men should have the same restrictions we should be equals not men on a pedestal and women basically treated like property they have to be as proper looking as having tea with the queen.

While it isn't my school, I read about this petition in the news and wanted to show my support. Dress codes like these are absolutely ridiculous. Prom is a chance for high school students to have fun with friends, and it should be exciting; no one should have to be worrying about whether or not their dress meets such a strict dress code. These dress codes oversexualize women and reinforce the flawed concept that women should be held accountable for other people's actions. This is not a healthy mindset, for anyone, but especially not for the young adults at prom.
Good luck, guys. I hope y'all win this, and have a wonderful prom.

Please contact the ACLU for free legal help. This dress code is discriminatory. Restrictions on excess cleavage discriminate against women with larger breasts. One dress would be fine with a smaller sized woman, but a violation on a larger woman. Stop discrimination now!
