Education is believed to be a very important part of what sets a child up for success. Although it is, the education system needs to be upgraded to appeal to the students of today. Yes, there have been small changes such as the number of grades a teacher teaches at once or the students to teacher ratio. Another change has been the amount of technology used in the classroom, but the thing that needs to change is what the students are being taught. The Department of Education needs to make classes such as financial literacy and mental health be put in place in schools. Those classes will help students to become more ready to face the world ahead of them. Also, give students that live in and go to school in lower and middle-income areas the supplies they need to succeed. All students should be able to get an education and the resources that will help them become productive people in society.
