We are entering into uncertain times, scary times. With schools closed “until further notice” our children’s education remains one of the most uncertain. 
If our children miss a considerable amount of school time, or worst case scenario they don’t return until after the summer, there’s no denying what a negative impact that is going to have on the rest of their education. Going immediately into the next year group when they have not been able to finish the curriculum from the year before will be so detrimental to all students, even more so those with Special Educational needs.
There are some children who will be effected worse, those going from reception to year one, and those from year 6 to year 7. 
Let our children start their academic year again in September 2020, let them have full access to the curriculum as they should, give them the opportunity to thrive as they would have in normal circumstances, don’t let this virus strip our children of the chance to achieve all they can! Don’t let this be an opportunity to put more pressure on our children and teachers next academic year to bring the children up to where they should be. There is no way we can move forward without change now.
