2022 GCSE Exams

2022 GCSE Exams
The Department of Education need to look at giving 2022 GCSE results as teacher predicted grades. This year the pupils have so far missed their first year of GCSE learning to one year of home learning and have so far had a disrupted year for their second year with isolation periods due to Covid and supply teachers due to staff absences also due to Covid. The schools have not been informed of what will be included in exams therefore not allowing pupils to concentrate on a smaller topic base. The previous years received their predicted grades with the same amount of classroom teaching this year should not be any different. The current GCSE pupils have suffered just as much and are still suffering. They have not been given the full two years in a classroom that is needed to obtain their potential. This year will suffer if nothing is done. It has been hard enough for these young students without the added stress of not obtaining grades that they need due to something out of their control. The government have gone very quiet with this yet the only people who suffer will be our children of the future. Maybe consideration should be given to allowing students who wish to sit exams to do so but also allowing students who would rather their predicted grades also have that option.
