Ft. Bragg is named after a general who served within the Confederate army, a group bent on preserving slavery and the continued inequality of citizens of the United States, where "all men are created equal". The name stands as an affront to unity for America and only serves to remind us of a shameful history.

Change the name of the fort to instead honor a man who fought bravely against the Nazis and worked tirelessly to promote equality in America; Medgar Evers.

By renaming the fort to Ft. Evers, the country and the military have the opportunity to show a united front. We have a chance to show the world, and to remind ourselves that the America we believe in is inclusive.
