Tambellup is a small town in the Great Southern of Western Australia and its a town where everyone knows everyone.Its a close knit community.

On the 4th August 2018 shock waves permeated the tiny town. A gruesome and horrendous crime happened  which had a huge and devastating impact on the community and surrounding towns.The incident was so horrendous that the local police describes it as the worst thing he has ever seen.,(one that you see in movies). Community members were so shocked with disbelief how something like that could happen in their tiny town ,which is commonly known as the town of friendship. the incident sent spine tingling waves through their bodies.(refer to Albany advertiser ,Great Southern Herald and The West Australian newspaper and internet for full story}

Many people have been scarred and traumatised for life especially the first respondents and Family members that were in the house at the time of the incident.these people are trying to move forward  but seeing the house reminds them of what had happened.

It has been 2 years and the community of Tambellup is trying to rebuild ,but the house is a constant reminder of the horrific and gruesome incident as the house is situated on the highway and people need to go past it daily, there"s no escaping.

Since the incident the house has been vacant.

So we the undersigned believe that for all of us to Recover, the property at 61 Garrity Street should be demolished as it will help us all to move forward in a positive way
