Misrepresentation of the Chem 112 Course Material

The Chemistry 112 final exam was an unfair exam. A lot of hard working students studied for hours and hours to only be blind sided by the exam. According to senate policies, our profs are obligated to post/provide sample study questions since the past exams are not released. This policy was provided by the Senate so that students, especially first year students, were able to see representative test questions, either by seeing previous year's exams or by their instructor providing sample questions. This website clearly states that we have the right to be provided with material that will be similar to that on the exam.
I had personally emailed every prof asking them what material would be best representative of the exam and most of then replied saying, in class example, tutorials and the quizzes, they also suggested looking over mastering chem. Even after going through all these resources the exam was completely different. Many of the students felt that these questions did not reflect any of the practice problems or class content. It is not a fair representation of our knowledge of the course content. If you guys feel the same way sign this petition to let the Chemistry department know about our dissatisfaction. Students in Chem 112 do not wish to just complain about doing badly on the exam, but are signing this to show that the exam is a perfect representation as to how poorly the course is structured and organized.
