Dennis Maurice Smith started this petition to Department if Justice and The Community

My Name is Dennis.M.Smith I'm from Wilmington NC. At the age of 22. I was sentenced to four consecutive sentences of 94-122 months. For Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. I was found guilty and sentenced for the same crime multiple times. Which is prohibited by law due to the Double Jeopardy Clause. A crime that only constituted one assault during the same event. I was charged with the robbery of the Business and two of it's Employees. State vs Bellamy clearly states that the robbery of an individual of her property and the property of her employer accuring at the same time only constitutes one Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. I came into prison at the young are of 22, I am now 39 soon to be 40. And 19 years later I'm still fighting for a second chance at life and freedom. Asking with the deepest sympathy for another chance at life again. I need help with receiving fair and proper Justice apply law where facts of law support the Constitution.  This is my fighting chance. Help give me a fair chance at my FREEDOM and JUSTICE.
